GCT USA wins 2 safety awards from the New York Shipping Association.

GCT USA is proud to announce that both GCT Bayonne and GCT New York have won safety awards from the New York Shipping Association. These awards are a true testament to GCT’s continued focus on safety as well as the cooperation and teamwork between GCT USA management and our workforce. Beyond the two awards, GCT New York exceeded 100 days without a lost time incident earlier this spring – for the first time in history. Congratulations to the entire GCT USA safety staff and the ILA leadership and workforce for ensuring a safe work environment for all.

GCT Bayonne: Gold Helmet award for the lowest Lost Time Frequency Rate in the New York/New Jersey harbor for Class A Terminals in 2015.

GCT New York: Silver Helmet Award for Class B Terminals (less than 1 million person hours) for 2015. This award recognizes the terminal with the greatest reduction in lost time accident frequency year-over-year in the New York/New Jersey harbor.
